Help Save the Crozet Library

Many of you have heard about the possibility that the Crozet library could be shut down because of budget cuts.  Jim Duncan has reported it on his Crozet real estate blog, RealCrozetVA, and his Charlottesville real estate blog, RealCentralVA.  You can read more about it The Hook, Charlottesville Newsplex, and Daily Progress.

One of the commenters on the RealCrozetVA site recommended that people concerned about the possible Crozet library closing should contact the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for the White Hall district, Ann Mallek.  Her information is as follows:

Ann H. Mallek
White Hall Supervisor
P.O. Box 207, Earlysville, Virginia 22936
Home: 434-978-1150
Email:
amallek@albemarle.org

If you would like to post other ideas so Crozet citizens can voice their concerns, please post in the comments section.

The closing of the Crozet Library would be a travesty for our community. I live in Batesville and consider myself a member of the Crozet community because I use the library and other Crozet facilities so frequently. I depend on the library for books that my local book club is reading, to meet friends, find technical, art and fiction books, and get great book recommendation from the Crozet library staff. The library is a foundation of any community and should never be considered for closing.
    Sincerely,

    Susan -

Thank you so much for your comment and your concern. Losing the Crozet library would be a tremendous loss for Crozet and all of Albemarle.

I think that closing the Crozet libary would hurt Albemarle County because it’s a great place to learn, comunacate, and meet new pepole.
I myself think that it would be a tremendous loss because I come here to study before and after school, and without this libary and it’s great staff it would feel like i lost my famly whithout it so please keep this libary up and running
