The Eastern part of Albemarle County contains two main pockets: Keswick and Pantops. With some of the most beautiful rolling countryside in the entire country, Keswick has been and continues to be one of the most prestigious addresses in Central Virginia. Though Keswick consists mainly of rural and wooded landscape, there are a handful of established neighborhoods – including two of the County’s rare gated communities, Keswick Estates and Glenmore. The remaining majority of the Keswick countryside is lined with historic estates, horse farms, and acre-plus home sites. A bit closer in to Charlottesville, the Pantops area is instead lined with plenty of shopping, restaurants, and more subdivisions than its Keswick neighbor. With a wide array of retail and residential options, the Pantops area has been bustling with growth for years. Pantops features a nice variety of housing options…including established neighborhoods, new home communities, town home communities, and condominium options. Pantops is also located just a few miles from Downtown and UVA. Residents in Eastern Albemarle have easy access to Darden Towe Park, Keswick Vineyards, and a multitude of outdoor activities throughout this beautiful area.
